Overview
At Kenyaweb Solutions E.A. I helped set up network and communications for the company's clients: domain configuration, mail-server provisioning and on-site Wi-Fi installs.
Some of the work was at a desk and some was in the field. I ran site surveys, mapped Wi-Fi coverage and turned the results into structured cabling plans the installers could work from.
Role & responsibilities
- Provisioned domains and mail servers for client accounts
- Ran Wi-Fi site surveys and coverage mapping
- Designed and documented structured cabling layouts
- Worked with the installation teams on cabling rollouts
Outcomes
- Site-survey documentation that fed straight into the cabling installation plans
- Handled provisioning requests on my own after the first few weeks
