PCB design and fabrication, AutoCAD, and Arduino / Raspberry Pi IoT builds
Overview
At the ADMAT Centre, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, I worked on PCB design and fabrication, using AutoCAD for layout and taking designs through to physical boards.
The work also covered IoT prototyping with Arduino and Raspberry Pi as part of the centre's applied electronics projects.
Role & responsibilities
- Designed and fabricated PCBs
- Produced electronics layouts and documentation in AutoCAD
- Built and tested Arduino / Raspberry Pi IoT prototypes
Outcomes
- Several PCB designs taken from concept to fabricated, working boards
- IoT prototypes that went into the centre's applied electronics coursework
